Can I send a notification to my students?

You can change how often and where you are notified of Canvas course-related events. However, you cannot set notification preferences for other Canvas users. In other words, you cannot force a notification to students' email addresses. We recommend telling students not to turn off their notifications. You can include in your syllabus that students are responsible for receiving communication by teaching staff.
